Snow Stars is a five-step development guide providing coaches with an assessment tool for alpine skiers. It is the Long Term Athlete Development Program used by Apex Ski Club and Alpine Canada.

Alpine Canada has excelent information on Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) for both Athletes and Parents. There is a lot of excellent information for all of the different LTAD levels.
BC Alpine is the Provincial Sport Organization that oversees, provides leadership and structure to the Apex Ski Club. They have an excellent web page that details the ski racing journey for athletes and parents.
BC Alpine has a calendar that is populated each season in October and provides all of the race dates, officials courses, etc.
BC Alpine publishes the Quota, Rules and Selections (QRS) each season. The QRS is the rules of ski racing in BC. It is an excellent reference to understand how races are run and how selections are made for invitational events. Click the link below to download.

The Clean Hill Initiative video is a much watch to have the knowledge to be aware to remove all gear, volunteers, coaches etc. from the race course to prevent injury to athletes. If you at a race and see shovels, drills, bags, etc. in the race course speak up and get the stuff moved to a safe location.
The primary goal of this new BC Alpine Girls Fast Forward High-Performance initiative is to help female club athletes achieve BC Ski Team criteria. The program is designed to enable female athletes to develop a stronger understanding of high performance development, the role of regional and club FIS teams in their athletic development, what is required to achieve BC Ski Team criteria, the purpose and objectives of the BC provincial team, and ultimately what is required to compete at the World Cup level.

If you are volunteering to be a Gate Judge at a race at Apex or at a race at another mountain it is always a good idea to brush up on the role. The video is also an excellent introduction to slalom and giant slalom.
