The Apex Ski Club offers an Apex Carvers Program (Nancy Greene), an Apex Racers Program (U12, U14, U16, U18) and a Masters Program (18+).
For children aged 5 – 11 (as of December 31).
The Apex Carvers Program follows The Nancy Greene Ski League which is a national program, inaugurated shortly after Nancy Greene Raine’s gold medal win at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Winter Games. Since then, the program has been successful in introducing thousands of children to alpine skiing. Many of Canada’s top international skiers received their early training in Nancy Greene Ski League programs.
The Program introduces children to basic ski techniques and skills, basic safety rules, and teamwork. Enjoyment of the sport and the mountain environment is also emphasized. Focus is put on developing skills to ski on all terrain, in all conditions and most of all, have fun on skis!
Grouped according to skill, your child skis with the same coach and group of kids all season. The kids are challenged to be athletic on their skis and learn proper technique with games and terrain.
The Nancy Greene Ski League also introduces children to competition. These events, held at the club and zone level, provide young skiers the opportunity to test the skills they have learned in the program in a fun and friendly environment. The emphasis in competition is place on individual progress, team results, camaraderie, and fair play.
Carvers have the opportunity to begin training with a three-day Winter Break Camp, and then every Saturday (full day program) and Sunday (half day program) for 11 weeks commencing the first weekend of January. A three-day Spring Break Camp is also available.

The Apex Racers Program includes the U12, U14, U16 and U18 series. All age categories are as of Dec 31 of the competition season. The competition season is defined as November 1 – April 15.
The U12 and U14 series objective is to give young racers an opportunity to develop their racing skills and progress in accordance with their ability. Emphasis is placed on providing strong coaching so these young racers receive a strong technical foundation from which to progress to higher levels.
The U16 series prepares skiers to perform in the Learn to Race stage and are introduced to more intensive training and competition. The program provides a competitive series for 14 and 15 years – with benchmarking at the level (Provincial, Western Canada and National Level ) – allowing them to test their skills against their peers at a regional level. The U16 program also develops ski specific physical and mental skills and continues to develop the athlete's technical and tactical skills.
The U18 series is designed to advance skiers to the high performance stages of the sport. Training programs offer intensive technical, tactical, physical, and mental training in order to prepare athletes to compete at this level.
The season begins in September with dryland training. On-snow training begins in late November or early December though to April, conditions permitting.

The Masters Program will be focused on skill development, friendly competition, camaraderie and fun.
